I've been on a regimen in the last three weeks that has netted some benefits. Of course, with my type II Diabetes, medications always seem to make it hard to get any lbs off, but I'm getting there slowly. Each day - 5 days a week I walk a stiff 30 minutes at the mall (about 1 3/4 mi). I drink at least 3 big bottles of water a day and watch my carbs (sugars, esp). I'm happy to report I'm down about 15 lbs in the last few weeks - blood pressure staying great and my blood sugar is the lowest its been since I was diagnosed 3 1/2 yrars ago. Pray for me to keep with it. I'm praying for you and Kevin in your efforts, too!

Good blogging, daughter!

Jim-DadJimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08556537857098798281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7136711453357118304.post-75163499437409704142011-03-29T11:52:54.516-05:002011-03-29T11:52:54.516-05:00Ok. I'm with you...Ok. So you've read my diary!!
I'm with you, Mich! I'll be praying - for both of us.
A friend once told me (after her weight battle) that growing closer to God was the real prize. Loosing weight was just a happy side-effect. I guess a change of my focus is in order.
Love you!!Angiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04165098411498084137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7136711453357118304.post-28052850695265367412011-03-28T18:41:54.040-05:002011-03-28T18:41:54.040-05:00You can do it, girl!! Knowing the bite to stop just before the bite that makes you feel stuffed and sick. I need to learn more control too. I may pick up that book too.He & Me + 3https://www.blogger.com/profile/03692972824923390203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7136711453357118304.post-61227857370981055802011-03-28T16:34:17.332-05:002011-03-28T16:34:17.332-05:00I so appreciate you sharing so honestly!!! We often joke and call our church "Calorie Chapel" rather than Calvary Chapel. :)

Lysa's book is great!! Excited for you!

Would LOVE to see you at She Speaks one year!! Well, I guess it began when I used to stop by the little corner store and get donuts to eat on the way to college, since I drove 40 minutes there each day. The difference back then was that I could just cut back and lose the weight. Now, cutting back does nothing. And of course, I'm expecting now, so it's all about eating the right things. Good luck on your journey!! That is a great book!!Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10369117008622884945noreply@blogger.com
