The hubby finally healed my poor computer of it's terrible bug. YEAH!!! I am BACK!
Well, sorta anyway. You see, this summer has been so BUSY, finding the time to chat has been scarce. Hopefully, when school starts back up and we have a routine going again, I will be able to stay caught up with all my bloggy pals. I miss all the encouragement I receive from all of you.
Anyhow... this is what is up.
My baby girl starts school unofficially tomorrow. She is going to be in high school (YIKES!!!) and will be a part of the marching band this year. They have band practice EVERYDAY this week, from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00p.m.. Can you say "YUCK!?" Talk about getting hot and tired before the school year even starts. Of course I guess they have it better than the football players these days...
We had to get Kayla a new flute, thanks to a little help from the grandparents. She is really good according to her band instructors and her old one was "holding her back." She is going to borrow one from the school until hers comes in. She is EXCITED!
Jordan went today for FOOTBALL orientation. This will be his first year to play. I am one of those over protective moms who wouldn't let him play the sport until he was old enough to play at school. He will be 7th grade this year and I am anxious and nervous at the same time. Excited for him and anxious to see what position he ends up playing, yet scared to death of finding him on the bottom of the dog pile.
Jordan will also be in advanced band, which means he will play with the 8th graders on football night. Then he agreed to be water boy again this year for the high school team Add the fact that my hubby is the high school football chaplain and we have a BUSY schedule full of football/band this fall. I need a nap just thinking about it...
It is Sunday afternoon. A nap does sound good. Hmmm...
Have a BLESSED week, friends!

Camp...
I just got back last night from a week free of computer and all that goes with it. I would have been free of a phone too, but I had to have at least a "texting" connection with my baby boy who wasn't with me...
I was at youth camp.
Every year I get the HONOR of going with a bunch of fun, crazy, God lovin' kids to camp. I get the HONOR of hearing young voices sing praises, see them make new friends, and make learning God's word their focus. It is my FAVORITE week of the summer each year. I always have a wonderful time.
This year we went to Centrifuge Camp, held at Mississippi College. We took 68 people. We went, we ate (the food was good), we played, we sang, we cried, we shared, we prayed, we listened...we came back changed.
Thank you, Lord for and AWESOME week. I pray for each young person that went. I pray that their lives were changed and that they now have the strength to change their world.

When your world is turned upside down...
Without giving out details of who, what and when, I am asking prayer for a special person in my life. I wouldn't write anything at all, but I am a believer in the power of prayer and I know my prayer warrior bloggy buddies can pray even when they don't have a name or face to go with the prayer. So I am simply asking you from my heart to lift my special person up today.
My special person's world has been ROCKED. My special person's whole self worth has been deflated. My special person's heart has been crushed. She is standing at the crossroads humbly before the Lord, asking for guidance in which step to take next. She is asking for strength to go where the Lord leads, for both paths will lead to heartache in the beginning.
Yet I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, my Lord will "lift her out of the depths and turn her wailing into dancing...," my God is AWESOME like that. Keeping the faith and believing that He will, when your world is turning, is the hard part.
Thanks for praying...

Our 4th of July
Sorry about being gone. Computer still sick. Still using the hubby's laptop. Finding time on it when no one else is using it can be tricky. But here I am and with pictures. :)
For the 4Th, we didn't have fireworks. Burn ban in our neck of the woods, but there was plenty of good food and fun going on.
The morning of the 4Th, Kevin and his brother (who was visiting with his family for the weekend) took the kiddos fishing. Kayla took her camera, so I was able to see their catch.
Our church had a fellowship at the park that Sunday night. There were burgers on the grill and
fun at the pool.
It was a Great weekend, full of family and fun.

Miss Me?!!!
This is where you just answer "YES!" even if it doesn't matter in your little part of the world, if I have been MIA for several days.
This is where I say "I HAVE MISSED YOU!!!" Is my computer healed? No, not yet. I am on my hubby's laptop today.
This has been something that has taught me a lot about myself. I can live without my computer. It is tough. I don't like it. BUT LIFE DOES GO ON.
I have my phone "Ruby." However, she is not an easy phone to use the Internet on. She is an old Blackberry. I am beginning to think with my upgrade I might need to give in to the iPhone mania. I might.
I lost pictures. I cried. Kev is trying to save them, in fact that is why it is taking so long to rid the computer of her "bug." I am thankful for all the pictures saved to post after post and fb albums. I am also thankful that I am bad about just buying a new memory card instead of clearing them of all treasured photos. A bad habit that has had a good twist. Can't fuss at me now, Kev!!!
But the real deal is that I became aware of how much time I was spending on the computer. Time I could be watching a movie with the hubby. Time I could be talking to my kiddos. Time I could be scrapbooking because I finally had the time to CLEAN my scrapbook/office/workout room.
Have I become anti computer? NO WAY!!! But I think I will scale back a little. The only part I really miss the most is the fellowship and encouragement I receive daily from bloggy friends. I don't want to give that up. God has blessed me with some pretty special buddies.
So don't give up on me. I will be back!!! I have more pictures and a whole bunch of memories to share when the ol' computer is up and running again. But let me suggest to you my friends... take an extra minute or two that you usually spend on the computer and spend it with your family this summer. I have learned the hard way, that what seemed horrible in the beginning, just might have been a blessing in my summer of memories.
Hope you are having a WONDERFUL summer!
