Divine Restraint

I was reading my bible last night, doing a little journaling, when I picked a devotional book my hubby gave me for Mother's Day. I had already read a few of the entries, but last night the words literally jumped off the page at me and left me thinking...
"I know everything about you, far more than you know about yourself. But I restrain My yearning to "fix" you, waiting instead for you to come to Me for help. Imagine the divine restraint this requires, for I HAVE ALL POWER IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH." - God
(Taken from the devotional book "Jesus Calling" by Sarah Young)
WOW! I had never really looked at things from God's point of view, like that before. Changes my perspective on a lot. Especially for yours truly who likes to have CONTROL a little too much at times.
Here is hoping you are having a BEAUTIFUL Wednesday. Remember, the Lord is there, just waiting to help us "fix things," we just have to ask.

Don't you just love those moments with God? All we have to do is ask and he is there to lift us up! Hope you hear a wonderful Wednesday :P

I am a control freak for sure. It is hard for me to give up control...He is waiting to fix me...I need to ask more often. Thanks for the words.

Thank you so much for sharing! I read it over and over. It's one of those 'arrow to the heart' thoughts. Who else would love us like that?
