I'm Back! And Dizzy with Details...

I just got back home two hours ago from a week adventure with the family. I watched Kevin marry two young lovers, who use to be members of his youth group. So, there was plenty of hugging the necks of old and dear friends, good food and all the bridal fun that goes with an outdoor wedding. (IT WAS HOT!!!)

We explored downtown Eureka Springs, Arkansas, which is where the wedding was. We had fun family time going in and out of all the little shops. The kids enjoyed spending our money on little trinkets here and there. Hey! We were on vacation!

We then moved on to my mom and dad's place and went to church with the family on Sunday. On Monday, we went to Branson, Missouri and took the kids shopping at the Landing and later went and saw the musical production of "Noah." (It was wonderful. My favorite part was watching my six year old nephew, whose eyes were "glued" to the show.) Tuesday we went to Silver Dollar City, where were had a fun day of riding rides, eating junk like funnel cakes and dippin dots and spending all our good earned money on things to DRINK. (Needless to say we all came home worn out from a good day of fun.)

And then all good things must come to an end... today was the dreaded day of traveling back home and getting back to work. I'm not sure if my head was just dreading the return to day to day life or what, but this morning I woke up dizzy. I think it is just my allergies working in high gear and creating a little fluid on the ear drums, but it made the four hour trip home not fun for me. It did get me out of unpacking the car when I got home and I've been laid up on the couch ever since our return.

I am feeling better, but I'm taking it easy since I have to return to work tomorrow. (Say a little prayer for me.) Anyway, I will go now, and hopefully will have time to visit with all of you tomorrow. This "dizzy" blond is going to sign off for now and go find her pillow.

Pictures to come of all our adventures... I promise.

Hope you are having a beautiful summer, friends!

Sis,
I hope you are feeling better this morning. We truly enjoyed our time with you all. We made our trip to Little Rock and home again by a touch after 10 last evening, so it wasn't too bad a day. Did you see the pics I posted on FB of Amb and her troup at the airport. Check out Kirk's smile on the escalator. One in a million!

Later,
Jim-Dad

We're heading to vacation next week; poor timing as I'm still swimming in boxes and the details of our new life, but perhaps a few days away will be just what I need.
