the sign says it all...

When the earthquake happened in Japan, I was shocked. I hadn't watched the news, so until I was in my car, on my way to work and heard about it on the radio, did I have any clue as to what was happening outside my little world. Isn't it CRAZY how that happens? I mean, we go through life, thinking each little twist and turn, each little roadblock, should be dramatized and THEN something REALLY BIG AND HORRIBLE HAPPENS, and for a short while everything is put back into perspective.

Today, a friend of mine, posted the following picture on his Facebook wall. (He took it with his phone on his way to work in a nearby town.) I think it about sums it up, don't you?

It can't help but make us wonder...

It really seems so, doesn't it? It makes me realize just how many people have no idea the choice they are making when they choose to reject Jesus. It makes me so sad.

Sis,
My message for last Sun. Morn was on the subject of "heaven preparing for judgment" and involved a challenge to consider that we don't know God's timing in these matters. As I prepared my message last week, I, too, was shocked to view the events that took place in Japan. Preparation for them was only measured in seconds. Even the tsunami was too fast to outrun for so many. Needless to say, it was my opening example - before our congregation went to prayer for the people caught in the disaster. Really a wake-up call!

Jesus is coming. These labor pains are painful. Praying His coming is soon.
