A "wet" work in progress...

The potter never uses dry clay to form His masterpiece. It must be wet and pliable in His hands as He works it through His fingers and from palm to palm, pulling away what is not needed and folding in what is.
To be used by God, to grow in him, to become His masterpiece, we must stay wet and pliable in His hands. So the next time you experience a little rain shower in life, think of it as a shower of God's love, adding just enough water to keep you wet!
His timing is perfect...
His grace sufficient...
Blessings and prayers, my friends, on this beautiful Sunday!!!
*** The above writing was given to me on a card, by a friend several years ago. I keep it on my bulletin board, in my office, as a reminder of God's presence on those rainy days. ***

Mich,

that is perfect. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing. I sure will think of a difficult time from now on as God's way of bending and shaping me into the masterpiece He intends.

Mich,

Thanks for this new perspective on when that storm comes our way and the rains begin to fall. I guess we do need a little work during those times and it can only be done by God.

Then He's got some pliable clay today... I took a dump in the spiritual pond yesterday. Have mercy...

He does... have mercy!

Lovely. Dependence and surrender are all the clay needs. The potter does the rest. Great reminder.

Great post. You can't have a testimony without tests sometimes. Challenges, though not fun, give us the opportunity to strengthen ourselves and build ourselves up!

I thought about you today... my husband called me on the way home from getting the kids this afternoon. Apparently, neither one of them had a very good day, especially... hmmm... Miss Priss. Apparently, she had her own version of potty mouth while in the bathroom at school, which continued throughout the day. Rather than work myself up in a lather, I met her at the back door when she arrived home, told her to meet me in the bathroom.

She knew what was up. She acquiesced to the soap, which doesn't include an initial rinse of mouth, and then made her way up to her bedroom. After a few minutes, I called her back down, allowed her to rinse and get a drink.

I think she got the message, and I didn't even break a sweat!

Wonder what's around the corner tomorrow?

That is really a good piece of writing! Tests definitely tell us what we have been putting into us that is for sure!
