What to do with the key to happiness...

I know you probably thought I was going to have some great tidbits of wisdom from the title of this post, but actually I just wanted a little help from my friends...literally.

I posted a few days back about going to the flea markets in town with my daughter. We love looking for little treasures here and there. I found an old chest that I LOVED, but I didn't want to fork over the 60 buckaroos at this time. Maybe if it is still there in the future I might... Well, anyway, as I said before, I love a bargain, I love things that have a history, I love things that are old and have a story of their own to tell.

Well, I found me a little something the other night. I saw them, loved them, bought them. They cost me a little over ten dollars. They are old and rusty. They look like they have a story to tell. Who knows, they may have been made this year and just made to look old, but either way I thought they were cool.

What did I get?

What do you think? Can you read what the one key says?
Anyway, now that I have them, I'm debating on what to do with them. What do you think? Any suggestions? I would love to hear them...

Hmm... I now can say I hold the key to "happiness." "Hee! Hee! Good thing I really and truly know what that really is. I think that is why I like the keys in the first place...just another reminder of who really does hold the keys to life. So thankful I believe in the power of the Almighty God himself.

Prayers and blessings...

I love the keys and the truth you told about the true key to happiness :)

I have seen some who hang those style keys in a shadowbox like frame. I think that would look good. Not sure how big they are though.
Blessings,

I think I would put them on an old rope or string like someone may have carried them many years ago and either hang them on the mantle or a bookcase, etc. I would definitely display them. LOVE THEM!! What a treasure.

Oh...or hang them at the end of the cubbard in the kitchen like my grandmother use to hang hers...just remembered hers hanging at the end of the kitchen cabinets.

Sis,
OR, you could hang them from an old rope or string inside a shadowbox with the messge you have just conveyed - decorated like you are very capable of doing in Scrapbooking, then display it, say, in the kitchen or dining room, dependent upon how you convey the message "of the keys".

Good thoughts, Sis.

I love the old keys and also love to go to yard sales. The flea market in our area is literally filled with fleas! It is not safe to visit at all! What a great find :)

I'm sure you'll find the most perfect spot for them.

In answer to several who asked the size of my treasures... they are big and HEAVY. Probably 7 -8 inches in length.

Mich,

I've seen these on a website called junxtaposition and have included the link of just how much these keys that are put on a necklace go for and also how you can use them. Hmm, now if you could send me one?

Oh, love the keys! Wouldn't it be neat if you could find a key rack that had some sort of scripture on it (something Victorian looking) and then hang these keys from it.

Those are so cool!!!

I like the idea above, find an antique key rack and have them hanging from it...

Those are SO neat!
I like all of the ideas in the comments so far.
I think a pretty green ribbon would look nice.

Those are beautiful. I have no good suggestions b/c I'm not a decorator. But I do think a grosgrain ribbon and maybe hanging them on a guestroom door would be nice. Whatever you decide, you MUST show them off. :)
