What's for Dinner?

OK, so it is Thursday. The day that makes you smile a little because it is one day past Wednesday and one day closer to the weekend. When did I start living for the weekend...oh yeah, when I went back to work. Anyway, even though it is Thursday night, almost Friday, I still have one more responsibility to see to, before I can sit myself down and relax...

Wait! Sitting at the computer to share with my bloggy buddies does not count as already "relaxing!!!"

And I will not have guilt over my dirty house tonight. I will save that for Saturday! After all, I had a long day of "working hard for the money" and I am certainly going "to treat myself right!" (I use to LOVE Donna Summer back in the day! Oops! Showing my age again!)

Anyhoo, I ran down to the store to see what I could cook for dinner...

I found this...

Ask me if I have guilt over not "slaving" over the stove and cooking a full course meal tonight for the family I love?

Nope.
For I only messed up two pans, four plates, four forks, a serving spoon and four cups.

And the best part is I got to blog while it baked!!! :)
Hey Friends!!! What's for dinner?

Yummy! :D I just put a roast in the oven earlier today, so that was pretty much just as easy. I'm all for things you can bake and not have to worry about!

It's leftovers night here! Sure makes that lasagna look good. But in my defense, I HAVE to get this stuff out of my fridge before it goes bad and I hate to waste food!

Grilled cheeseburgers....and the kids were thrilled. They seem to love the "ordinary" dinners!

I love Stauffer's veggie lasagna!

I made spaghetti tonight because it is easy. Sometimes it is just better for everyone to take the easy way out. It is yummy too:) That is why I love my crock pot. Throw it in and forget about it.

Soup and a grilled cheese sandwich since. Tonight, there is no one else to cook for except me...
Easy dinners are awesome after a long day at work :D

Mich,
I wanted to share how timely your post about me was with the award. It has been a tough week outside of diagnosis and tragedy's. It has been one of those weeks where you find yourself ducking while the enemies arrows soar over your head. I was touched deeply when I read your blog a day or so ago...now I don't even remember when i read it, but anyway. I just wanted you to know. Thank you for loving me...with all my flaws!
Hugs, andrea

Oh girl, I miss those lasagnas soooo much!!!!!!

We had take-out pizza last night - our favorite here - pollo doce - chicken with corn. Sounds gross but it's good.

Tonight it's beef in the crock-pot that I should have cooked last night but didn't! I had a good excuse though - I was helping a good friend pack to move. It just cut into my cooking time. We'll just eat it tonight.

Sis,
Alls.I.can.say.is - "now the blogs are attackin' my diet resolve!" I'm on a lo/no salt, lo carb, regimen and your pict was tooooo tempting. How I could go for a big scoop o' that! But your Mom and I went to the Doc yestidae and got the best reports evva - hers finally had the old "bad" cholest down in the normal, and mine had my ferevva high Tris in the normals, too. I'm down almost 20 lbs, walkin' and feeling great-ta than evva. Did I say I felt great? So I'll pass on the "lag" - thank you very much!

Love you,
Jim-Dad

PS - We're getting ready to go north on a shopping spree - I gots ta get some new trousers for my trip to Israel, and some that fit this smaller shape. Did I tell you I felt great?

Ugh. You don't want to know what I'm having to eat for dinner. I'm on a diet that had me eating brown rice, broccoli, and grilled chicken. For the 15th time.

I'd much rather been eating what you were eating.

Love you and your lasagna.
