The Word of the Day is "AMAZING" With a Touch of GRACE.

See this young dude? The one who needs a haircut really, really bad? He would belong to me. Yes, Grandma, I know he is in need of a trim...

Anyway, this guy has decided he wants to learn to play the guitar. One more way he can be like his dad, I guess. We have a junior guitar we bought Kayla several years back that he has been playing around on... Kev has taught him a few notes and he can even play a song, ALREADY. It isn't perfect, but good enough I can tell what he is playing. (He has only been playing for a week or two.) If he keeps practicing there might just be a new guitar in his future.

This mom, who sings off key half the time and can't play an instrument to save her life, thinks her musically inclined kiddos are simply AMAZING. (His sister plays the piano and flute.)

Want to know what song he can play? It is a goodie!!!

Chris Tomlin's "Amazing Grace, My Chains are Gone."

SIMPLY AMAZING...

Hope you and yours are having an AMAZING day!

Mich,

Its so amazing that you and Kevin are doing all you can to make sure that his passions are being addressed. I am sure that this is just one of many blessings God has bestowed upon this beautiful child.

AWESOME....my middle son taught himself and now has several guitars. For a few years we gave him new ones at Christmas and Birthdays. Well, when I say new...I should say new to him. He has 2 electric guitars and we were able to buy them used from a man who refurbishes them and is a retired band director. Great prices on awesome guitars. Musical talents in my children amaze me. My middle son taught his older brother who now plays, too.
Blessings, hugs, and prayers,
andrea

I LOVE that song! I think it's great that he wants to learn to play the guitar. When I started band I wanted to play the flute, but I ended up playing the clarinet and loved it.

You know, you are challenging me to get my mandolin out and work on it! Thanks!

That's awesome!! I wish I had learned to play when I was younger! I love music and would love to be able to pick up a guitar and play and sing. I got a guitar when I turned 16 and never learned to play. I gave my husband a guitar for Christmas and he's learning to play. Maybe one day I'll learn too! :D
