I could tell you about eating fresh garden tomatoes last night. Don't tell, for I ate three. They are one of my favorite foods, and nobody else in my house likes them. Word of advice...don't gorge yourself on "Bob the Tomato" for your tummy might hurt just a little the next day. Love them tomatoes!
I could tell you about what a great hubby I have. I had to work today and the grandparents had to be out of town for the day, so Kev was in charge of the kids. Now remember my niece is staying with us. So, he decides to take them bowling. In his attempts to find a friend for Jordan to take, he ends up with two extra kids. Yep! He took five kids bowling this afternoon just because. What a great dad!
I have an exciting adventure planned for the 4th. I'm climbing Mt. Laundry. Where does it all come from?!!!
My brother-in-law took us out for Chinese tonight. My husband's FAVORITE. And even better, I didn't have to cook!
My son is about to drive me NUTS! He is at that stage when he thinks sneaking up on you is cool. I just jumped a mile high! I am so thankful that profanity doesn't come easy to me. Boys!!!
I'm tempted to put him in a box and mail him to my mom. I love that kid!
Oh, and just because everyone thought it was funny that I still have my original phone from umpteen years ago, I thought I would take a picture.
Yep! Probably time for a new one....but it still works pretty good.
Well, like I said, just a lot of rambling about not much. But thanks for hanging out with me anyway.
I will close on this thought...
The other day I was reading the Bible in Daniel. I came across that wonderful little story that we all learn about in Sunday School; "Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego." If you haven't read it in a while, it is such a powerful story. As I look to celebrate and reflect on what Independence Day means in our country, I have to ask myself if I'm thankful enough. Am I truly appreciative of the freedom I have right now to worship my Lord? We are never certain of this in future years. If it came to a choice on worshiping God and my freedom, or even my life, what would I choose?
"They trusted in Him...and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God." (Daniel 3:28)
As the fireworks go off...
As we spend time with family...
As we grill the steaks and burgers...
Let us remember and celebrate the freedom we have to love our God.
Here's wishing everyone a great 4th of July!

Happy 4th. And thanks for sharing these terrific tid bits! :)
Mount Laundry is such a considerate destination...it always just shows up at our door and says "here I am...conquer me!". Ugh. I pray He meets you there in a special way. :)
I loved this post. I too love to eat tomatoes. My mom has a garden that I steal...i mean borrow from. Love fresh ones.
your cell phone does not look as out of date as I was guessing it would.

Have a great 4th. So glad we are free in Him & free to serve Him.
Sis,
Thanks for the excellent reminder of what day this is! Excellent words of wisdom "from the three Hebrew children who wouldn't bend, who wouldn't bow, who wouldn't burn" in their dedication to the true and living God!
I've got "dibs" on the next tommy-toes!
Just wishin' you all were here with us at "rascals'" games. I am so looking forward to our vac together the last of the month.
I totally heart you, daughter, and your whole clan!
Jim-Dad
P.S.: Even your "word verification" this time described your tomato episode. "useatal" or "us.eat.al"! Ha!
Dear Mich,
You ought not to be jealous of other’s words because you did really well writing you thoughts and making a good point of how much we need to remember the blessing of freedom that we have to worship our God.
Thank you!
♥Hope
Mich,
I enjoy your ramblings!
