I'm Giving Into the Peer Pressure... I Guess I Will Have my Own Giveaway!!!

Everywhere I look in blog land, someone is having a giveaway. I feel the pressure to join the fun. My family will tell you, I love to buy gifts for people. It is simply one of my favorite things to do. I truly love trying to find just the right gift, for those I love. Since I have entered and won a few wonderful surprises along the way, I feel the need to return the favor.

So, here is what I am going to do...

I would like to honor all the moms and grandmas out there (Sorry Jim-Dad! You could enter on mom's behalf...) with a Mother's Day surprise. On Mother's Day, I will select two winners... one grandma and one mom, to win a special something from moi. It will be my "thank you" for all your encouragement, prayers and kind words left, as I ride through my own roller coaster world called "motherhood."

Here is what I need you to do...

1. Tell me if you are just a mother or a grandmother too.
2. Tell me how many children and grandchildren you have. (Include stepchildren, foster children, etc...)
3. Tell me what your favorite color is.
4. Tell me your favorite hobby.
5. Tell me what being a mom/grandma means to you.

What will you win? Hee! Hee! I think I will leave that a surprise. (In other words, I haven't decided yet. :) ) But I promise IT WILL BE GOOD!

I will announce the winner and the prize on Mother's Day!

Hope you join in the fun, 'cause I am so ready to shop and give back to my friends!

Hope you are having a beautiful week!

I love that you're giving away something and you don't even know what it is - that is so me!

1. I'm a mom
2. I have 2 children
3. I love all colors, but sage green, pink or black
4. Favorite hobby: I have many, but taking photos, family time, designing my dream home
5. Being a mom means I have the chance to be a part of the future. I get to guide, love, nurture, cry, laugh, be young, teach, grow, fall in love, make memories - all in a single lifetime. Being a mom is fulfilling and satisfying. It is the demonstration of love.

Hope you have a great week!

1 mom
2 2 cherubs
3 purple and bright pink
4 scrapbooking; reading; shopping
5 Motherhood keeps me on my knees before the Lord and in His Word. Motherhood is teaching me about God's big and perfect love for His children. Motherhood humbles me. This is all good. :)

Great idea, Mich!

1. mom
2. 4
3. persimmon
4. writing
5. Being a mom means my perfection; in other words, God has used my mothering "experience" to most clearly shape me, refine me, grow me according to his purposes. Had I not given in to childbearing, I'm fairly certain I would be half the woman I am today, and I've still so very far to travel in the matter. Perhaps that is why God has given me two generations of children. Takes me twice as long to learn the lessons that most mothers can learn the first time around.

How fun! I just now realized Mother's Day is next weekend! I better get some gifts/cards together!!

1. I am a Mom.
2. I have 3 girls.
3. My fave color is hot pink.
4. My favorite hobby is reading and singing.
5. I love being a Mom. There is no greater job in the world and nothing more important than love and family. If I can love my children as much as I do, it makes me realize in a tangible way what it means to know how much the Lord loves me! That kind of love is what makes life worth living!

Being a Mom is indescribable because it is shaping a precious life that has been entrusted to me from the Father...that is a huge job. One that I feel so often I am not qualified to do...but so thankful that he trusted me with my three blessings.

I really enjoyed the first giveway I hosted a few weeks ago. Glad you're having a chance to do the same. It is sooo fun! I can't wait to do another one sometime.

1. I'm a mom
2. I have two children
3. My favorite color is green
4. My favorite hobby is blogging/FB!
5. Being a mom is my chance to make a difference in this world, by striving to raise godly kids that will bring others to Christ, and the ripple effect will continue. To me there is NOTHING more important in this life than passing on our faith to the next generation.

Thanks again for hosting,
Jackie

This is the first time I've ever done this, so thank you for the opportunity Michele!

1. Mommy
2. I have 3 children on loan.
3. I like almost any color, but pink comes to mind.
4. Hobbies(do we really have time for hobbies?)are reading and doing anything with my family. I think I might need to get out more!
5. I have graduated college, been an auditor and a business owner, but I never found my true job until I started staying home and raising my kids. I have gone from "career woman" to "mommy" and have never been more content, exhausted, joyful, stressed, happy, frustrated, or just plain at peace in my entire life. I found out where God wanted me finally and all the pieces have fit together perfectly. I am truly humbled that my Savior saw fit to loan me these three precious souls. It's the most important job I've ever had and the one I take most seriously. In a nutshell, being a mom means "my life!"

Thanks for letting me share my heart!

1. I am a mom!
2. I have 5 kids
3. I love blue and red
4. Blogging is my hobby LOL
5. Being a mom means that I get to deepen and strengthen my relationship with God because without Him, I could not handle one minute of the responsibility and stress of caring for the life of another human being. His grace empowers me and His mercy delivers me. As I come to a fuller measure of His love for me as His child, I
can respond to my own children in that same kind of unconditional acceptance and pure love.

I'm a Mom of six children.

I love any kind of green!

My favorite hobby is scrapbooking and making cards. I don't know, blogging has become pretty close to that! LOL!

My mom loves to have fun. She can't get enough fun squeezed into this life. She wants to do and try everything. She's a Harley-riding, race-car driving, you name it, if it's dangerous she's riding it! I am a fairly serious person when it comes to parenting and I am not an adventuresome person, thanks to all the lessons learned watching my mom crash and burn constantly! I would like to have a bit more fun with my kids.

I love being a mom. I know that is why God created me and I long to do it well. I know my example is everything to these children. They keep me on my toes spiritually!

I love Q&As! Especially when I know the answers! LOL
1. I am a mom
2. I have 5 sons.
3. Would you believe I love Pink and Blue - pink on China and blue toile, blue walls, oh, and blue cotton:)
4. My favorite hobby? Hmmmm - it depends on my mood - knitting when I have a lot of sitting and waiting, like homework time, soccer practice and pre-games, reading when I'm stressed, cooking when I feel A Giada/Paula/Ina mood coming on, or writing - when I hear that call to write (which might be my most favorite hobby).
5. What does being a mom mean? O.K. - you do not want me to write a post right here do you? I'll try to be brief: loving unconditionally when it's tough to love, equipping my sons to face the challenges of their own individual responsibility, hugging tight and learning to let go, lots of laughter, some tears, some brain-twisting moments, being tough and not letting them see you sweat when you have to punish and its hard because you so do not want to but you got to - but being the biggest fan, with a swelling heart for big and little times, little and big

Thanks Mich! I had a great time!(My oldest son tells people not to ask unless they want a very detailed answer and have more than 10 minutes- however, he's learned that is a personality trait of exhorters:)

Oh my, I have been so busy with everything, I almost missed this. I love it!! So glad I looked back this morning!! I haven't even done my own blog yet!!

1. I am a mom and grandma
2. I have 5 kids (4 still at home) and a granddaughter.
3. My favorite color is pink
4. I love to read, bake and spend time with family and friends
5. Being a mom means being entrusted by God to shape the life of 5 wonderful gifts. I am so blessed and honored to know that God is allowing me, with lots of help from Him, to train these kids up in the way they should go. Being a mom means loving like you didn't know love before, it has opened my eyes to the love the Father had for His Son and what he would have had to go through to save us all.

I'm so excited that you are doing this. I am dying to do a give away of my own, I just want a few more followers first!! I sure love my bloggy friends!!
Love and Blessings, Angel

Hi, dear sister. I found your blog on Adrea Bowling Perdue's list. So glad God led me to you!

It's evident you enjoy your role as mom. We need more of yous in the world!

1. I am both a mom and grandma
2. Two excellent grown kids and 3 terrific grandchildren
3. Peach or orange
4. Writing, reading, cats, gardening
5. I love being a mom and grandma. It keeps me humble, seeing my faults and quirks mirrored in my offspring, but it reminds me of God's unchanging love for me. No matter how I mess up, I can run to Him, climb in His lap and say, "Help, please!" and He will help me.
It's the hardest, most rewarding job ever invented.

May the Lord bless your journey with Him and your sweet family,
Jen

What an awesome giveaway idea...love that you don't know what you are giving away! That would be me too:-)
1. I am a mom
2. I have 3 kids.
3. I don't have a top fav color...I really like them all, but teal is on the top right now.
4. Too many hobbies to list...but scrapbooking and cardmaking tends to be my most fav.
5. Being a mom to me is all about love. You love your children no matter what and you get to guide them through life with your love. God has given me these children and even though I mess up a lot, He trusts me with them and I am awed by that responsibility. I want my children to know how much I love them and know even more how much God loves them.

Oh such a fun giveaway!

1. I am a Mom
2. to Kyle
3. My favorite color is red (or pink)
4. My favorite hobbies are taking pictures and blogging and reading
5. To me being a Mom is a miracle. I knew that I would never be able to have a biological child and after waiting for five long years and going through two failed adoptions, I had given up, thinking that God didn't mean for me to be a Mom. Then a call came out of the blue and the next thing I know I'm holding this beautiful baby in my arms, so excited (yet so afraid at the same time) Kyle is the answer the thousands of prayers and I am so grateful.
