Happy Days...

What a weekend! Great time seeing all those missionary "aunts" and "uncles" that had such an influential part in my younger years. It really was a good reunion. I have plenty of pictures and plenty of stories to share on some of those special people, but I'm too tired to put my words together tonight. I promise it will come later, when I truly have time to reflect on the whole experience.

As for the family vacation part, well the reunion ended at noon today. So the fam headed to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for some good 'ol family fun. First stop today was a great place called Wonder Works. It had everything from rock climbing, laser tag and all kinds fun hands on "science" exhibits. I think the kids thought it was great that their Grammy played laser tag with them and for the most part had a good time. Well, that is except my five year old nephew Tate, who said as we were leaving "I am NEVER coming back here!" Bless his heart, I think he was a little on the young side to enjoy everything.

Next we had dinner and I took some great pictures there too. (Which I promise to share!) We ate at the "Happy Days" diner. Loved it! IT had that good old fashion 50's feel to it. I had a good 'ol milkshake (yummy!) and one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Highly recommend the place. There were statues of Elvis, Marlyn and the Blues Brothers outside and everyone had to have their picture taken with the celebrities. It really was a fun place to eat.

Finally we made our way to the motel, tired after a long but very fun day. To end the evening, the kids and their dads hit the swimming pool. (Yes, I took pictures there too!)

So there you have it... this girl is about to call it a night. I have to be well rested for the Dollywood adventure of tomorrow. Hope my bloggy buddies are having a great week. I'm trying to read when I can, but when I get back I will certainly enjoy catching up on everything.

And yes, as you can tell, the picture marathon keeps growing...

Picture marathons are great!

Hi Mich,
I am happy to read that you are enjoying your vacation. It sounds exciting. Even thought I recently took a trip to see my mother; I really have missed not having a family trip in years! I long to have us all take a trip, which is getting less likely as the children are getting older, and having jobs and schedules of their own.

Looking forward to seeing all your photos!
