Did I say that?!!!

I was reading a post from an old high school friend. She was a little frustrated and down. I went to encourage her with a comment. All of a sudden my fingers typed away and this is what I wrote:

"I believe every turn in our lives will have its ups and downs. The "ups" are so we can be thankful. The "downs" are so we know "who" to be thankful to."

Did I just write that? And where did it come from? As I'm looking at the words staring me down from my computer screen, I am in a little awe. Whether God whispered in my ear and told me what to write, or I had read this somewhere (let me know if you have heard it before!) and it had subconsciously stayed with me, I do not know. What I do know is this...

I NEEDED TO HEAR IT!!!

Funny how that works sometimes. Either way, God once again found a way, to gently remind me, that HE is always there.

Thank you, Jesus!!!

I thought you might want to see some more pictures of Jim-Dad on his journey through Israel. I am so in awe of where he is walking and what he is seeing these days. Like I have said before, I have traveled all over the world, yet this adventure my dad is on, has him walking where Jesus once walked. Smelling and hearing the sights and sounds HE once heard. Experiencing the beauty of the places where HE was... (These pictures were taken by a fellow preacher, traveling with dad.) Whether, he is at the river, in the garden, walking down the road into the city, or standing in front of an empty tomb...WOW! I want to ask my dad if he could hear the echo of "Hosannas" while walking down the road? Could he feel the anguish of Jesus as he stood in the garden? What did he feel at the tomb, the EMPTY tomb? Oh the stories my dad will have to tell...

Please say a pray for me today. I'm afraid the winter season is getting the best of me. In my line of work I am slobbered on, snotted on and spit up on. The babies have all been fighting the nasty colds going around. Yesterday it all started to catch up with me. I have the CRUD. I feel like CRUD. Oh, with so much to do, on this, my one free day of the week.... Thanks!
Hope you have a beautiful weekend!!! It is certainly beautiful in my neck of the woods. The sun is shining...
But then, I do need to remember the SON is shining everyday, isn't HE?!!!

You know just a few weeks ago I left a comment on someone's blog telling them what they wrote was SO powerful and how it ministered to me..

She writes back and said she got that statement from me

WHAT?????????

Whatcha talkin about?

Me?

When?

lol...lol..it definitely was the Holy Spirit.

I read my journal entries from years back and there are times I'm like,,'where did I get that from? It doesn't even sound like me. I wrote that?"

thanks for sharing more pics of your dad. I LOVE it..

Now for the crud part...girl, I woke up this morning and it's TRYING to happen too girl..

Father God, we praise You so much for the hedge of protection You have placed upon Mich and my life as we have loved, cherished and cared for the wee ones. Father, thank You for the supernatural healing, the anointing that You have covered us with during these winter months. We KNOW it is Your doing, and it is truly marvelous in our eyes. This is the day that You have made for Mich and I. With all the tasks, the schedules, the chores and everything else in between. Mich and I will rejoice and be glad in it Father God..

Father, save us, Father God grant us success. In Jesus Christ's Name we pray..amen amen amen

That was an awesome statement Mich! That's happened a few times with poems I've written about salvation, etc. I read it afterward and I have no idea how I got it to all rhyme and flow so well. Ha! I just figure it must be something God wanted me to say and He gave me the words.

I said a prayer for you....hope you're feeling better soon!

That is so amazing that your Dad is getting to be in all those places where Jesus walked. I cannot imagine how awesome that would be!!!

Mich,

I think we seriously have days like that, especially for me when I am leaving comments, I feel a divine presence at times just telling me what to write.

God works in powerful ways. Here is hoping that this finds you feeling a little bit better.

My Jim went to Israel a year ago. Changed his life forever. I pray your dad's time there just blesses his heart and lingers forever!

Feel well soon! I heard the birds chirping this morning....spring is almost here!

Hope you're feeling better! I heard Jim-Dad and Paddy were also a little sniffly last time they called, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with health and everything to do with where they are! What a blessing to stand in the very garden where Jesus knelt and prayed. To touch the ground where His tears once fell. The emotions would be overwhelming.
Can't wait til they're back and we can have a full report!
Love You!!!

Wish I were walking those roads with your dad! There's something so beautiful, pure, and right about it all.

One day, we'll all walk them together.

Feel better soon; I'm sick today myself--intestinal yuckiness at its best. Oh dear... so much to do; so little energy to do any of it, and the kids are home to boot.

Have mercy.
