Counting Down the Days...Picture #18.

I went to my Sunday School party. Well, it is the class I am a member of and would go to, if I didn't teach Kindergartners on Sunday mornings. I love their parties, because there is a whole lot of laughter going on each and every time. Nothing like being able to go to a party and have a good time, without the worries and temptations of this world. Fellowship. God calls us to it, with fellow believers.

That being said, I made my peppermint dip and my chocolate chip dip to take. Since I couldn't take a picture of my dip last night, due to a dead battery, I decided that today's picture would be this... Not my best effort, but it is late and I had to have a last minute picture for my countdown. You get the idea anyway...

Picture #18 of my counting down the days till Christmas, countdown is...

I already gave you the recipe for the peppermint dip (on the right) in my last post, however I thought you chocolate lovers might be interested in a little chocolate chip. This is my daughter's favorite. She says it tastes like cookie dough and about makes herself sick on it every time I make it.

Chocolate Chip Dip

cream cheese (8oz)

1 stick of butter

1/4 tsp of vanilla

3/4 confectioners' sugar

2 tbs brown sugar

miniature semisweet chocolate chips

beat cream cheese and butter and vanilla together. Add sugars and beat until mixed. Stir in the desired amount of chocolate chips. Refrigerate. Serve with graham crackers or plain cookies.

Also had a request for my chicken dip, so since it is Christmas and you will not be taking it to the same parties I go to, I'll let you in on it. My pastor's wife gave me the recipe a few years ago and it has become a family favorite.

Chicken Dip

3 chicken breasts cooked and shredded

8 oz cream cheese

8 oz mayo

1 can green chilies

1 bag of Colby jack cheese shredded

Mix altogether. Bake for 30 minutes at 350.

YUMMY STUFF!

Well Friends, it is FRIDAY!!! Sleeping in tomorrow for sure! (Watch me wake up at 7 a.m.! Because that is how my life goes!)

Happy December 18Th! We are on the final stretch to the BIG BIRTHDAY Celebration.

Blessings and prayers.

Oh, I'm a HUGE chip and dip fan. I'll take that over 'sweets' any day!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. They're making me crave some DIP right about now.

I'm off to raid the fridge!

That chicken dip is still my favorite. Take it everytime there is a potluck.

And people like me when I do.

So it's a win-win.

Sis,
I can just see myself following this Christmas season. High sugar count and elevated weight, with a little BP thrown in. It's starting already with the food pictures. I'm going to have to work on my pre-Christmas resolve real hard to make it through.

Love you,
Jim-Dad

I've never seen so many sweet dips before. I'd probably eat it until I was sick too. I love sweets.

Like cookies need a dip for us to eat them, LOL!
